Company Three of the Breton left

Some shots that I pulled from that excellent collection, that I link to on my home page, of Company Three (and me).

Going in to attack the English right; the Dunkles, Barrett and I are mixed together with the rear two ranks on the right.

This shows us lined up in front of the "Breton" cavalry. Bruce Dunkle, Arild Barrett, Kris Dunkle and I - right to left - are visible from the chest up, immediately to the left of the standard.

Starting into another trek up the hill.

This, and the previous shot, are exactly what I had hoped for (in vain) from my wife's picture taking. Alas, she had not mastered the digital camera yet.

Passing by the cameraman, and catching up with stragglers from one of the other two companies.

Passing over the English "dead".

Forward with Company Two, or One. I was a little over-eager to get to weapon strokes. But changing companies was unintentional.

This seems to be when I realized that I had moved up and joined the forward company, and I noticed after the combat, that Company Three was behind me.

I think that this is when we attacked in a single line, and got out-flanked. The Dunkles, Barrett and I are on the extreme left end of the line.

Battle called. When it ended the Russkies, Poles and Danes and locals in the English right wing had stood us off. There was too much resistance from them and the whole scrum turned into a compressed shoving match. Fun(ny).

Arild Barrett, Bruce and Kris Dunkle, after the battle. Bruce complained that his new helmet was too small. He would have been happier with his “old” one that I bought off him in Jeff City, when he felt it was too big.

At the end, someone wanted a picture of the lowering sun behind a "warrior's" head. Lucky me!
