William the Conqueror: 1061 to 1066

Your men scatter across the Sussex downs in an orgy of destruction. Then rumor comes, of a mighty English victory in the north: Harald Hardrada has been killed by king Harold, and the English are about to fall upon you. The panic that ensues is unstoppable: your troops pour into Hastings in exhausted, wild-eyed groups and mill around. Some listen to you and you get a core group of Normans and others together; but many in your army are intent on only getting ships in the water and sailing away. King Harold arrives upon this chaotic scene. With superior numbers and morale heavily favoring Harold, your battle is lost before it begins. You can toss a coin to see if you get aboard a ship and escape: heads you escape, tails you die in a berserk rage, laying a pile of enemies at your feet.
